Mutual Aid for Bahaa and His Family
United States
Hi, my name is Mandy from California, and I’m making this campaign to raise money for Bahaa al Najjar and his family in Khan Yunis. Bombardment and blockading of aid going into Gaza has made food scarce and unaffordable. Bahaa would like to raise money to provide food, shelter, and basic necessities for his family.
My name is Baha, and I am 17years old from Khan Younis, Gaza. Before October 7th, life for my family was simple. We lived in our home, my four brothers and I went to school, and we had hope for a future filled with security and stability. But everything changed overnight. The bombing and violence destroyed our neighborhood and forced us from our home multiple times. Today, we live in a tent, with almost nothing to call our own. Our house is completely ruined, only the walls remain, offering no shelter or safety. I am young and unemployed, yet I am responsible for caring for my family under extremely difficult circumstances. My father is unable to move due to illness, and my mother suffers from chronic diabetes. I support my younger siblings and ensure they have food and water every day, but our resources are almost gone. Each day feels like a fight for survival. Without immediate support, the situation will only get worse. I started this campaign because my family is in desperate need. The funds raised will be used to provide immediate relief in critical areas: *Medical care: To cover essential treatment for my father and mother so they can recover and survive. *Food and water: To ensure my siblings and parents can eat and stay hydrated, giving us the strength to endure each day. *Basic necessities: To purchase blankets, hygiene items, and other essentials that we currently cannot afford but need to survive. *Shelter and protection: To purchase linoleum fabric and other basic living essentials that protect us from the harsh winter and maintain some stability. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help save lives and bring some stability to a family struggling in extreme conditions. Your support can give my family hope in a time where hope feels impossible. This is not just about surviving today, it is about giving my family a chance to live, recover, and eventually rebuild. We are enduring hardships that no one should face alone, and your generosity can make a life-changing difference. Please, if you are able, stand with us. Help my family survive this crisis, and show that even in the hardest times, compassion can make a real difference. Together, we can turn despair into hope
After a run of bad luck with other fundraising platforms, he has since been able to raise some funds from US donors through Kevin Wu collecting on Venmo/Cashapp. I decided to create this so he can hopefully collect from donors outside of the US and get more reach for his fundraising efforts.
If you’re in the US, you can still donate via Kevin’s Venmo/Cashapp @kwprendy (same username for both). https://venmo.com/u/kwprendy. He requests that you use a bee emoji in the notes so he knows it’s for Bahaa.
Kevin agreed to start forwarding donations he receives for Bahaa to me to keep track of here and so I can wire it to Bahaa in the same transaction.
